More Fitzgerald / Plame

I've just spent the last hour reading emptywheel's magnificent investigative summary of the Fitzgerald / Plame case at the Next Hurrah.

It's the piece that we've been waiting to read on this from the earliest days of Josh Marshall saying: "Really big story, on the way...developing." This is it. Worth reading every sentence, and hoping Fitzgerald has built his case.

I'll add more links to this developing story as I find them.

  • AP reporting that Rove will testify before grand jury again: (link.)
  • Reuters reports that Judith Miller may be asked to testify again before Fitzgerald.
  • 6 Comments:

    • The emptywheel article is brilliant.

... and it's further evidence that good long blog posts are A-OK. Reading emptywheel was like reading your de Mello Iraq essays--sadness when the scrollbar finally hit the bottom of the browser window.

A TalkLeft post that may be of interest to those who are puzzled about this "target letter" business. (I'm personally finding it difficult to give much of a damn about that aspect of the day's news, but there's the link, anyway.) Preposting update: JMM has now added his reading of the DA's Manual on target letters, too. Blah.

    • Found one, thanks NYBri.

Not to give away trade secrets, but Google Blog search is way potent....it gives crisper news links than Google News if you ask me.

    • With the punchin' Judy show extending its run till Tuesday, that means no indictments for at least another week. Which also means that Fitzgerald the Implacable will be keeping Rove & Co. dangling in anxiety for yet another week. While I'm impatient for the frogmarching to begin, I console myself with the knowledge that Fitzgerald seems to be enjoying screwing with these bastards' heads.

Now that's 'coercion' of a sort we all can get behind...metaphorically speaking, of course.

head screwing followed by frogmarching, hmmm.

      what's next, as &y asks, unindicted co-conspirators?
