Rush Limbaugh, Dick Cheney and George Bush

Take a gander at this post at the Horses Mouth about the racially offensive parodies that Rush Limbaugh promotes at this "members only" web site.

Did your realize that President Bush appeared on Rush Limbaugh in an interview as recently as November of 2006, and Dick Cheney as recently as April of this year?

The parody Rush has on his show, is based off of Joe Biden, Al Sharpton and an article by the LA Times. "Racism"!, wow, strong word. For a second, I will entertain your sentiments. Yet the word racism (as defined by African American scholars) means to "subordinate a race on the basis of their skin color"- I fail to see how a parody song "subordinates" African Americans or Barack Obama. I think the term you were looking for was "white supremacy." At least if your going to be ignorant, do not lose all credibility by using incorrect terms to support your ignorance. There are also different types of racism, for example: institutional, individual, and "stealth" racism. Again, sorry, Rush's parody doesn't match any of them. Unless you personally know Rush, I doubt you can correctly judge on whether or not he is a white supremacist. Please if your going to look for racism and white supremacism in a 2 for 1 special, look no further than Senator Robert Byrd.

So, in a nushell, you are in favor of the President and Vice President giving interviews to Rush Limbaugh while he makes money off his racially offensive parodies?

I'm not.

I have no desire to know Rush and only measure him by his public conduct.

"Racially offensive" is the way the vast majority of Americans would see those parodies.

Should the President and Vice President meet with the guy and, hence, endorse what he does?

In my opinion, and for many reasons, no.
